Mari is an HR Manager who leads with compassion. She spent 18 years at a mid-sized company where she built the HR department into an essential resource for employees and leadership alike. She recently accepted a position at a small company looking to build their HR department and become a recognized Employer of Choice. What words of advice and encouragement would you give to someone just starting out in HR?
Be a sponge! Take in as much information as you can and ask questions. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes–just remember to learn from them. Lastly, be patient with yourself because there is so much to learn and things constantly change.
